Conference: Russia’s LPG market: prospects for further development
Date: December 13–14, 2010
The agenda of the conference arises from the problems following the LPG marker formation in Russia, the intentions of the government to bring more transparency to the LPG trade and introduce price indexes. While Europe since long ago has been actively consuming LPG as the motor fuel Russia is only breaking the ground. The Russian government has recently highlighted the importance of using LPG and finding ways to wider usage of the fuel. The conference participants will also discuss possibilities of the LPG exchange trade and consider ways to ensure more efficient transportation of LPG in Russia and outside the country. The Russian LPG producing companies and traders also see it essential to discuss price formulas for LPG contracts on the domestic market as well as hedging risks while trading the fuel in Russia.
Among key issues to be considered at the conference are LPG mandatory sales, interaction of the wholesale and retail markets, forecasts for the market activity after price regulation lifting, efficiency of export deliveries.
